From Mansfield you can visit Lake Eildon and the surrounding National Park.Situated between Mansfield and Murrindindi Shires, Lake Eildon is a massive expanse of inland fresh water. The lake holds more water than Sydney Harbour (when full) with over 520 kms of shoreline and so provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy all forms of water sports and recreation.
The lake is hugely popular for fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming and house boats.
A very popular trip is to travel the circuit route from Mansfield to the Jamieson end of the lake to Eildon and back to Mansfield via Bonnie Doon. You can spend a whole day exploring the shores of Lake Eildon, pack a picnic, do some fishing and take in the magic scenery.
